ATM producer and network-services provider NCR Atleos Corp. announced Monday that InComm Payments has adopted its ReadyCode application programming interface to enable cardless cash pick-ups at more than 23,000 U.S. ATMs.
Atlanta-based NCR Atleos says ReadyCode-enabled ATMs are located inside retailers in 40 states. InComm, also based in Atlanta, provides gift cards and prepaid and related services for the retailing, banking, health-care, and toll road and transit sectors, in addition to other payment-related functions. Customers of InComm partners that take the new service can initiate an ATM withdrawal through the partner’s app, Web site, or call center, then get a code on their smart phone to facilitate the withdrawal at the ATM without using a card. All of the ATMs accessible through the InComm deal are part of NCR Atleos’s Allpoint network.
“Enabling InComm Payments’ broad and deep program relationships with access to the ReadyCode solution will provide more flexibility for consumers to transact where and how they want, without the need of a card,” Ben Bregman, senior vice president of global network solutions at NCR Atleos, says in a statement. “This relationship will also provide additional use cases to drive utilization of the ATM for increasingly digital-first providers beyond traditional financial institutions, and continue to fulfill on our promise to our retail partners to drive incremental foot traffic to their stores.”

John Houseal, InComm’s vice president of product, added that “this service expands our cash-out network in a new way, connecting our partners with differentiated access to serve their customers beyond the counter.”
Information about how many InComm clients will deploy ReadyCode out of the gate was not immediately available.
