PARTech Revenue up 19% and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 5/8/26

  • Point-of-sale system and services provider PAR Technology Corp. posted $124 million first-quarter revenue, a 19.3% increase from $103.9 million in the 2025 first quarter. Part of the increase is attributed to a 15% year-over-year increase in quarterly subscription service revenue. It had a quarterly loss of $16.2 million, narrower than the year ago loss of $24.4 million.
  • Fiserv Inc. opened a Clover manufacturing facility in Brazil, its first in the Americas, the processor said.
  • Buy now, pay later specialist Affirm Holdings Inc. posted more than $1 billion in revenue in its fiscal third quarter ending March 31, up $783.1 million in the year-ago quarter. Affirm’s net income of $102.9 million ballooned 3,575% from $2.8 million a year ago.
  • Global Payments Inc. renewed and expanded a partnership with Lightspeed DMS, which makes dealer management applications for the recreational industry. Lightspeed DMS has been working with Worldpay since 2009, which Global acquired earlier this year.
  • Payward Inc., a developer of financial technology, said it will acquire Reap Technologies Holdings Ltd., a provider of card-issuing technology based on stablecoins, for up to $600 million in cash and Payward stock.
  • Fintech Tap Inc. launched Tap Pay, the payments and money movement layer of its platform.
  • Amazon Web Services launched Amazon Bedrock AgentCore payments, a service for agentic commerce created in conjunction with Stripe and Coinbase, which provided the payment rails and wallet infrastructure.
  • Card-issuing platform Marqeta Inc. appointed Lukasz Strozek chief technology officer. Strozek comes to the company from LendingClub Corp.
