Integration of JetPay, the processor NCR Corp. bought for $184 million in 2018, into NCR’s point-of-sale systems will be more broadly available in the second half of 2019, NCR said Tuesday.
NCR intended to marry JetPay with its POS systems, including NCR Silver and Aloha, in an effort to offer merchants a larger menu of services and decrease their likelihood to switch providers.
“We’ve got some customers up and running,” Michael Hayford, NCR president and chief executive, told analysts during an earnings call Tuesday on its first-quarter results. NCR is building the use cases for the JetPay integration, Hayford said, according to a SeekingAlpha.com transcript. He expects more transactions in the second and third quarters with further expansion to follow.

For the quarter, Atlanta-based NCR had $1.53 billion in revenue, a 0.7% increase from $1.52 billion a year ago. Of the 2019 revenue, $758 million came from NCR’s banking segment, $511 million from retail, $193 million from hospitality, and $74 million from other business. Quarterly net income of $37 million increased 85% from $20 million a year ago.
