Blockspaces in Cogent Deal and Other Digital Transactions News Briefs from 6/24/22

  • Blockspaces, a company that links businesses to blockchain networks, announced it will work with Cogent Bank to use the bank’s real-time, tokenized payment platform and other services.
  • Digital-giving platform DipJar said it is releasing early access to DipJar Online, an online version of its in-person fundraising app.
  • Digital payments provider One Inc said insurer Union Mutual will use its services for inbound and outbound digital payments.
  • Sycurio, a provider of data-security technology for call centers, said the U.S. District Court for the Western District of North Carolina denied a motion from PCI Pal (US) to dismiss Sycurio’s complaint alleging PCI Pal’s “Agent Assist” card-payment software infringes four Sycurio patents. Sycurio’s suit is expected to proceed. Sycurio was formerly known as Semafone.
  • Mastercard Inc. launched The Belle Block, a new effort focused on educating and empowering women and non-binary individuals to benefit from Web3 technology and crypto.
  • The parking app Passport said it has added the cities of Denver, Colo. and Thunder Bay, Ontario, as well as Sound Transit in Seattle, as clients.
  • The ATM Industry Association appointed David Tente as the president of the ATM Security Association beginning July 1. He succeeds Mike Lee, who is retiring June 30. The ASA is operated by the ATMIA.
