Visa’s Subscription Service and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 3/26/26

  • Visa Inc. announced its Enhanced Subscription Manager service, part of the network’s Digital Issuer Solutions unit. Developed in collaboration with Pinwheel, a provider of in-app bill-management technology, the service aims at helping consumers track and manage recurring payments.
  • Visa also said it will serve as one of 40 super validators on the Canton Network, the first major global payments company to do so. The role involves preserving and extending blockchain technology for and to financial institutions globally.
  • EMVCo, a standards body for payments based on the EMV specifications, announced the release of version 1.0 of a document setting out an interoperable open payment solution for EV charging.
  • Cryptocurrency platform Coinbase said it will work with Better Home & Finance Holding Co. to offer token-backed mortgages in the U.S. market. The mortgages are originated and serviced by Better.
  • Payments provider PayEngine said it has been added to the WorksWith Elavon partner marketplace. Elavon Inc. is a processor owned by U.S. Bank.
  • Payments platform Wink Inc. and digital-identity software developer Vouched Inc. announced an integration aimed at creating a chain of human consent for transactions by AI agents.
  • Identity and risk platform Socure Inc. announced it has integrated into its RiskOS orchestration platform criminal background check capabilities from Checkr Trust.
  • Payments-technology provider Tazapay announced it raised a total of $36 million with the addition of a Series B extension round led by Circle Ventures.
  • Velera, a payments provider for credit unions, announced president and chief executive Chuck Fagan will retire Sept. 30 and will be replaced by Brian Caldarelli, executive vice president. Caldarelli will officially assume the office Oct. 1. PSCU/Co-op Solutions rebranded as Velera in May 2024.
