Visa’s New Scam Disruptor and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 3/11/25

  • Visa Inc. introduced its scam-disruption practice, aimed at identifying and preventing scams “as they emerge,” the company says.
  • Just 26% of credit card holders are “satisfied” with their cards, while 24% are “dissatisfied” and 50% are “indifferent,” according to a survey of 8,000 cardholders age 18 to 45, plus 200 senior banking executives and 700 bank marketing executives in the United States and 10 other countries around the world by Capgemini. Of those who apply for a card, 47% of those who know which card they want walk away during the application process because of a poor experience, according to the research.
  • Payrange Inc., a developer of payments technology for laundries and other self-service venues, said it has resolved a patent dispute with the processor Nayax Ltd. It says it dismissed the case March 10.
  • XCharge North America, which offers EV charging technology, said it has launched its first virtual point-of-sale technology for its systems.
  • Intuit Inc. said it has enabled tap-to-pay on iPhone for the company’s U.S. QuickBooks Online merchant customers. The technology allows businesses to accept contactless card transactions on an off-the-shelf mobile phone.
  • Fiserv Inc. and Sony Pictures Television announced the Clover x Shark Tank Summit, a conference aimed at reducing failure rates for small businesses. Clover is Fiserv’s point-of-sale technology.
  • Feedzai, a provider of anti-fraud technology, released its TRUST Framework, aimed at allowing companies to manage risk as they develop applications based on generative artificial intelligence.
  • Xsolla Inc., a U.S payments platform for videogames, announced it has added 11 local payment methods in the Middle East and North Africa regions.
  • Vanco, a donations and payments platform for faith-based organizations, announced an integration with Planning Center, developer of management software aimed at churches.
  • Fraud-prevention platform SEON said its automatic chargeback-management technology is available. The product offers early detection and automates the chargeback-dispute process, the company says.
