U.S. Bank’s Bill Pay Tweak and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 11/8/21

  • U.S. Bank said it added its Request for Payment services to its U.S. Bank eBill Service, enabling the bank’s commercial clients access to an integrated bill delivery and payment platform. The Request for Payment component enables consumers to choose to have their bills delivered directly to them through the bank’s Web site or app. Such payments are sent via The Clearing House’s RTP network.
  • Bolt, a U.S. provider of checkout technology for mobile commerce, said it has expanded into international markets with agreements with Benefit Cosmetics and with e-commerce technology provider Prestashop.
  • Mogo Inc., a payments provider based on cryptocurrency, launched what it says is Canada’s first program allowing merchants to offer so-called climate-positive, or “green,” Bitcoin to customers as part of a rewards promotion. Mogo says its app has 1.7 million users.
  • Fiserv Inc. has committed an additional $7 million to support the Institute for Veterans and Military Families, an education service for these constituencies offered by Syracuse University.
