TouchBistro Adds Marketing Component and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 4/5/22

  • Payments provider TouchBistro launched TouchBistro Marketing, aimed at helping restaurants connect and market to customers via custom marketing campaigns. The new system links to TouchBistro’s restaurant-management platform.
  • Innovative Payment Solutions Inc. announced the second phase of its IPSIPay App with approval from Visa Inc. for use of Visa debit cards within the app.
  • PayPal Holdings Inc. launched its PayPal Cashback credit card, offering 3% cash back when the user pays with PayPal at checkout and 2% on all other transactions. The Mastercard-branded card is issued by Synchrony.
  • Biometric card manufacturer Zwipe is working with payments provider and card manufacturer TSYS to launch fingerprint-authenticated cards in the North American market.
  • U.S. citizens have been defrauded out of an average of $265 per person per year as they have moved to digital payments, and have been victimized more often than citizens of any other country, according to the 2022 IBM Global Financial Fraud Impact Report.
  • ATM maker Hyosung has engaged Advanced Fraud Solutions to bolster its defenses against deposit fraud at its U.S.-based ATMs.
  • Nacha, the automated clearing house rulemaker, released its top 50 rankings of financial institution originators and receivers of ACH payments in 2021.
