- Open-banking specialist Plaid Inc. unveiled Plaid Guaranteed Payments, a bank payment service. Plaid said the service will evaluate each transaction in real time and return an approval decision within milliseconds. If Plaid approves the transaction, it will guarantee the settlement. If the payment fails, it will cover the loss and handle recovery, Plaid said in a blog post.

- Visa Inc. said it will work with Men in Blazers City Guides to produce travel guides for fans attending this summer’s FIFA World Cup soccer games in 13 cities in the U.S. and Canada. Visa is an official sponsor of the World Cup.
- Chargebacks911 has agreed to provide chargeback prevention and management services to acceptcards, a U.K. acquirer.
- Digital asset platform Fireblocks launched Agentic Payments Suite, its infrastructure service for agent-initiated payments using any stablecoin on any blockchain. The suite includes a gateway and wallets.
- Primer, a 6-year-old payments company, said it has raised $100 million in a Series C funding round led by Sofina.
- Checker, a developer of technology to support financial institutions in offering stablecoins, said it has raised $8 million in funding from multiple investors.
- One Inc, a payments platform specializing in the insurance industry, said it has appointed Kishore Konakanchi chief product officer. Konakanchi’s experience includes leadership roles at PayPal and Chargebee.
- llumia, a payments provider for health care and higher education, has appointed Laura Newell-McLaughlin chief operating officer. She was formerly chief commercial officer.
