- Check-scanning firm Panini S.p.A. has been acquired by digital-payments platform Matica Fintec S.p.A. Terms were not announced. Turin, Italy-based Panini maintains a North American operation in Ohio.
- Fraud-prevention firm Sycurio named Nicholas Brown chief security officer. His background includes positions at JP Morgan, Guardian News & Media, and IXCG.
