- PayPal Holdings Inc. said it is an official digital payments partner with U.K.-based soccer club Liverpool FC. Already an option in the club’s digital payments platforms, PayPal will be featured more prominently on checkout and payment screens in the club’s e-commerce and All Red services. All Red is a membership program for the club.
- Klarna AB said its installment-payment capabilities are now available for checkout on Apple Pay in Denmark, Spain, and Sweden, with France to be added in “the coming weeks.” The move comes as Klarna earlier announced record-high revenue for its September quarter.
- Janam Technologies said its XT4 and XT40 mobile devices now accept contactless payments directly on the device, with no need for a dedicated payment terminal. The move relies on softPOS capability from Ingenico, Janam said.
- Gather Federal Credit Union in Hawaii has adopted Tyfone Inc.’s nFinia Digital Banking platform, which includes instant-payments capabilities.
- Bitcoin ATM operator Bitcoin Depot Inc. said it has signed Wild Bill’s Tobacco, a specialty tobacco merchant, to install machines in 10 stores, with an option to expand to the company’s more than 250 locations later on. Bitcoin Depot says it operated machines at more than 9,000 locations as of August.
- Fraud-prevention specialist SEON announced an update that offers capabilities for global businesses facing complexities related to multijurisdictional requirements.
- Real-estate app provider Zillow Group Inc. said renters can enroll to have on-time rent payments reported automatically to all three major credit bureaus through a $20-per-year service called CreditClimb.
- Wetzel’s Pretzels launched a promotion in which customers can receive a $5 digital prepaid card for each online purchase of a $25 gift card. The promotion runs from Nov. 24 through Dec. 31. The $5 bonus cards are good from Nov. 24 to Feb. 28. The company operates more than 400 stores.
