Pax Unveils Vendall and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 5/8/24

  • Point-of-sale terminal company Pax Technology Inc. launched Vendall, a payments system for vending machines, minimarkets, and other unattended markets.
  • Nacha, the automated clearing house governing body, noted the 50th anniversary of its formation, noting there were 31.5 billion ACH network payments made in 2023 valued at $80.1 trillion. In related news, Phixius, a peer-to-peer information network from Nacha, said it will work with ValidiFi to expand current account validation coverage.
  • Orum, an API provider for payments, said it is a Nacha Preferred Partner for ACH Experience and attained Nacha Certified status.
  • Processor Nuvei Corp. said it handled $60.1 billion in volume in the March quarter, up 42% year-over-year. Revenue was up 31% to $335.1 million, while the company clipped its net loss by 42% to $3.5 million. Nuvei closed on its acquisition of the payments provider Paya Holdings Inc. in February of last year. In April, Nuvei announced it would become privately held in a deal with private-equity firm Advent International.
  • Jack Henry & Associates reported quarterly processing revenue of $538.6 million, up 5.9% year-over-year, while net income grew 6.8% to $87.1 million.
  • Fiserv Inc. said WaFd Bank will use its CashFlow Central Service for small business banking services, which includes invoicing, payment acceptance via ACH or credit card, and biller and supplier payments, among other services.
  • UATP, a payments platform for airlines, Amtrak, and travel agencies, said the U.S. Patent and Trademark approved its application regarding Batch Processing Composition and Conversion.
  • The Western Union Co. said it will offer cross-border money-transfer services in two Adonis stores in Montreal as part of the money-transfer company’s effort to expand its retail presence in Canada.
  • MoneyHash, payments-orchestration platform operating in the Middle East and Africa, said it will work with Visa Inc. to gain access to Visa technologies, including tokenization.
  • The Electronic Transactions Association recognized Talus with the ETA’s Star Award as ISO of the Year.
