- Payment-technology provider for sports betting Mazooma said it now offers real-time payouts to bank accounts for the sports wagering and gaming industries because of a partnership with Fifth Third Bank N.A. The bank provides access to the RTP network from The Clearing House Payments Co. LLC. Processor Nuvei Corp. announced earlier this month its pending acquisition of Mazooma.
- Texas-based Ovvi LLC, a hospitality point-of-sale system maker, opened an office in Toronto. Its payment service, Ovvipay, and its POS systems will be sold in Canadian dollars.
- Barclays US Consumer Bank said it is working with Amount, a technology provider for financial institutions, to offer point-of-sale financing installment options to merchants.
- Quadpay said ChargeAfter, which provides a network of point-of-sale consumer financing options for merchants, will add Quadpay’s buy now, pay later service to its portfolio for in-store and online payment.
- Buy now, pay later provider Afterpay Ltd. launched The Dropshop by Afterpay platform. It offers access to limited edition merchandise, offers, and experiences only available with Afterpay.
- The buy now, pay later and point-of-sale credit spend will balloon to more than $760 billion globally by 2025, Kaleido Intelligence said in a new report.
- Payment technology provider PayJunction released its chargeback management system that improves on the chargeback notification and response process.
- NCR Corp. said it will work with Google Cloud to expand cloud availability of NCR’s digital-banking software and its card and payments platform, NCR Authentic.
- AeroPay, a specialist in payments for the cannabis industry, said it and Zip Run, which offers e-commerce services for the industry, announced an integration where AeroPay will be the exclusive payment option for Zip Run storefronts.
- Payments technology provider Worldline said it is working with the International Air Transport Association to offer its services through the IATA Financial Gateway. The IATA is an association representing 290 airlines.
- Bulgarian First Investment Bank said Google Pay services, such as adding a credit or debit card to a Google Pay wallet, are now available to its customers.
