Fiserv Revenue Dips Slightly and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 5/5/26

  • Fiserv Inc. posted revenue of $5 billion in the first quarter, a 2% decrease from $5.1 billion in the 2025 first quarter. By segment, merchant solution revenue was flat at $2.4 billion, though the operating margin for it fell to 26.4% from 34.2%. Fiserv’s financial solutions segment at $2.3 billion was down 4.2% from $2.4 billion the year prior. Fiserv’s net income of $571 million was down 33% from $851 million a year prior.
  • Processor Elavon Inc. launched Elavon Business Solutions, which offers payments support and business software and services aimed at helping businesses grow. Elavon is a unit of U.S. Bank.
  • Bank-based payments processor FIS Inc. has introduced its Financial Crimes AI Agent, developed in partnership with Anthropic. The technology is said to reduce investigation time for anti-money-laundering from hours to minutes. BMO and Amalgamated Bank are among the first clients.
  • Bill-payment platform Paymentus launched two services, Billeo, and BillWallet, which the company says relies on artificial intelligence to ease bill-management and payment for consumers.
  • Card maker CPI Card Group Inc. saw higher first-quarter revenue of $147.1 million, a 19.8% increase from $122.8 million in the 2025 first quarter. CPI attributed the growth to increased sales of contactless cards and personalization services and the addition of Arroweye Solutions Inc., a provider of payment card services. Quarterly net income of $2.1 million was down 56.3% from the year-ago profit of $4.8 million.
  • Videogame developer Electronic Arts Inc. said it is working with Visa Inc. to offer in-game rewards for players of EA Sports video games.
  • Pagaya Technologies Ltd. said it is working with installment payment specialist Sezzle to embed its underwriting platform, which incorporates AI, at the point of sale to help more qualified consumers sign up for an installment loan product.
  • NCR Voyix Corp. said Gyro Hut will use its POS systems at its restaurants.
  • Point-of-sale system maker Toast Inc. launched Toast IQ Grow, a marketing service for its users. Among its newer features are access to a human marketer and an AI agent, which is in beta.
  • Cryptocurrency payments network Mesh said prediction market Kalshi will integrate Mesh into its service to provide cryptocurrency deposits.
