Fiserv Debuts New Clover Product and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 8/3/21

  • Fiserv Inc. released Clover Station Solo, a point-of-sale service for full-service restaurants. It provides tools to manage front-of-house tasks, payments, online ordering, and employee scheduling.
  • Cloud-based point-of-sale system provider Appetize launched Appetize+, a subscription plan that bundles software, hardware, payments, and support in a single monthly fee. It launched Appetize Payments in May.
  • Payments provider Lightspeed POS Inc. said its processing service for the hospitality industry is expanding beyond the U.S. market to Germany, Switzerland, France, Belgium, and the Netherlands.
  • Mashgin Inc., maker of a touchless self-checkout system, said its kiosks have processed more than 16 million transactions. Nearly 500 locations have a Mashgin system, more than double the total in 2020.
  • Payments provider Rapyd Financial Networks Ltd. announced a $300-million Series E funding round led by Target Global. The round comes following Rapyd’s $100-million acquisition of Valitor, a European payments and card-issuing company.
  • MovoCash Inc., a mobile banking provider specialized in cryptocurrency funds access, selected Enacomm to provide a customer self-service system.
  • EVO Payments Inc. said Valy Panayiotou, executive vice president of human resources at Graphic Packaging International, was appointed to its board of directors.
  • Payments provider Beyond promoted Tim Toombs to the role of chief sales officer.
  • Mastercard Inc. said entertainer Jennifer Hudson and it are embarking on a series of events to mark the contributions of Black women business owners.
