Famous Dave’s Picks Presto and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 4/21/22

  • The Famous Dave’s chain of barbeque restaurants has chosen Presto as its exclusive provider of pay-at-table technology. The chain, which operates more than 150 locations, is a unit of BBQ Holdings Inc.
  • Payments provider Fortis announced an integration with the Oracle Payment Interface for its hospitality and retail segments. The integration is expected to ease administrative processes and cut costs.
  • Nelo, a Mexico-based buy now, pay later app, said the app can now be used at any online merchant in that country through a connection to a Mastercard Inc. virtual card.
  • Payments provider Quisitive Technology Solutions Inc. reported a 155% increase in fourth-quarter revenue year-over-year to $33.3 million. Full-year 2021 revenue rose 94% to $96.7 million compared to 2020. Acquisitions during 2021 included those of Catapult Systems and BankCard USA.
  • CPACharge, a payment technology intended for accounting firms, said it is working with IRS Solutions to provide users with contactless-payment acceptance along with data security meeting PCI compliance standards.
  • U.S. Bank and Apex Fintech Solutions will provide a real-time payments service for money movement between individual investors and broker dealers. The service is expected to be available in the third quarter.
  • Amazon.com Inc. said merchants that list their products on its site will be able to sell these same products on their own site using Amazon Buy with Prime, reported Bloomberg.com. The service will be by invitation and the merchant will pay fees to Amazon.
  • UATP, the travel industry-specific payment network, said travel industry technology provider Mystifly will integrate UATP into its MystiPay service.
  • Bank of America Corp. said it will begin using at least 80% recycled plastic for its credit and debit cards beginning in 2023.
  • Merchant’s PACT, a payments industry advisory and program-management firm, named Daniel Booth its chief technology officer. He joined the firm in 2020.
