Convenience-store operators are keen for any edge when it comes to attracting and retaining consumers. Bolla Oil Corp., operating c-stores under the Bolla Market moniker, launched its first customer loyalty program using technology from Par Technology Corp. to help with that effort. In related news, PointsKash Inc. will work with BitCorp Inc. to expand its footprint.
New Hartford, N.Y.-based PARTech says the new Bolla Rewards uses its PAR Retail service for rewards and for the brand’s mobile app. In addition to offering promotions for Bolla Rewards users, the app also includes a store locator and the ability to view receipts for purchases made by rewards members. Bolla Market has more than 160 locations in the New York Tri-State area.
PAR says the selection of PAR Retail ties retail activity to customer activity, creating an intelligence layer that Bolla can act on to create offers and gain insights into transaction activity.

“Bolla Rewards allows us to deliver immediate value through focused, easy-to-redeem offers while reinforcing the experience our guests expect every time they are at a Bolla Market,” Jay Singh, Bolla Oil vice president, says in a statement.
Meanwhile, Boca Rotan, Fla.-based PointsKash expects its new partnership with BitCorp to enable it to expand across the United States. PointsKash operates financial-services kiosks, the PK Pay mobile app, and a loyalty monetization platform.

PointsKash says BitCorp, a business development and advisory company, is expected to help it expand to 18,500 merchant locations, including a national hotel organization, a national c-store operation, and fuel network. BitCorp is based in Lititz, Pa.
