- The American Arbitration Association, working with Integra Ledger and other companies, announced the launch of the Legal Context Protocol for agentic commerce. The participants say the protocol constitutes an open standard for legal terms, consent, and dispute resolution for transactions performed by AI agents on behalf of people and organizations.
- Fraud prevention services provider Forter debuted Forter Agents, a suite of five services to aid agentic commerce practices.
- Point-of-sale system maker and payments provider Toast Inc. released its 2026 U.S. tipping report that found tips at full-service restaurants averaged 19.3% and 15.8% at quick-service restaurants.
- Alchemy Pay, a Hong Kong-based payments gateway that connects fiat and cryptocurrency, said it has secured a money-transmitter license in Illinois, the 18th state that has conferred the license on the company.
- Blockchain.com, a technology provider for cryptocurrency transactions, said it has expanded its operations in Brazil with a service allowing local businesses to move and settle funds across borders. The company is based in London with U.S. offices in Miami and Dallas.
- French processing giant Worldline said it is the first payments platform in Europe to offer click-to-pay capability for recurring payments. Having launched Click to Pay in 2019, the four U.S. card brands that developed it began their plans for global expansion in 2020.
- Issuer processor Thredd said it has implemented Visa Cloud Connect in the Asia-Pacific region. The technology allows businesses to access VisaNet through cloud infrastructure. VisaNet is Visa Inc.’s global network.
- Google said Google Wallet is the first digital wallet partner for the TSA PreCheck Touchless ID for travelers.
- Payouts Network announced Jamison Jaworski has joined the company as chief revenue officer. Jaworski comes to the company from Green Dot Corp., where he served as a senior vice president, according to his LinkedIn profile.
- Nonprofit association PayTech Women said Leslie Pearce, senior vice president and head of relationship and strategy at Fiserv Inc., and Erica Woods, head of U.S. state and local policy at Stripe Inc., joined its board of directors.
