dLocal Raises $150 Million Investment and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 4/2/21

  • Payments-technology provider dLocal Ltd. announced a $150-million investment led by Alkeon Capital and valuing the company at $5 billion. The company also appointed former Chase executive Sumita Pandit chief operating officer. Former COO Jacobo Singer was promoted to president.
  • PayGround Inc., a payments provider specializing in health care, has reached an agreement with the Arizona State Physicians Association to expand its payments platform across the ASPA’s network of almost 3,000 doctors and more than 1 million patients.
  • Oliver POS said it now offers integrated payment processing for merchants using the WooCommerce platform. Oliver POS recently completed an integration with PayJunction to enable the service.
  • Transcard Payments said it hired 15 additional employees in the quarter, including five senior managers.
  • Parking-app provider Passport Parking Inc. named former Cardlytics Inc. executive David Evans chief executive, succeeding founder Bob Youakim, who assumes the role of chairman of the board. Evans joined the 10-year-old company in January as president.
  • Bjorn Ovick, a former Visa and American Express executive, has joined 2-year-old data-privacy specialist Skyflow Inc. to head up business development.
