- The messaging app Clickatell added updates to its Chat Commerce Platform, including a new integration of Chat 2 Pay, which allows travel brands to accept payments as part of business messages.
- The card-issuing platform Marqeta Inc. announced it has integrated Mastercard Track Instant Pay, which enables immediate payment of supplier invoices.
- The virtual-card platform Extend announced its relationship with BMO now includes the ability for commercial clients of the bank to create, send and manage virtual cards through Extend’s mobile and desktop app.
- Some 93% of Gen Z persons report using a peer-to-peer payments platform on a monthly basis, up from 79% in 2019, while 85% say they use a mobile wallet at least once a month, according to a survey by payments provider Billtrust of 750 persons born between 1997 and 2012.

- SpotOn, a payments provider for restaurants and small businesses, named Bryan Solar chief product officer. Solar comes to the company from Block Inc., where he was general manager for Square for Restaurants.
