  • The Federal Trade Commission’s negative option rule, or click to cancel rule, for subscription management, has been struck down by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit because the FTC did not follow procedures for creating the rule, The Hill reported. The rule was set to start July 14, having been delayed from an earlier May 14 compliance date. The rule was proposed in 2023.
  • Annual revenue for U.S. issuer processors will nearly double from $8 billion this year to $15 billion by 2034, according to the “2025 U.S. Issuer Processor Market Analysis” report from Totavi, a consulting firm.
  • Wanna, an online betting platform, will adopt payments capabilities from PayNearMe, having already installed fraud-detection technology from Accertify, the three companies jointly announced. Accel-KKR acquired Accertify from American Express Co. in May last year.
  • Euronet Worldwide Inc. business units Ria Money Transfer and Xe will work with Google to enable easier to make cross-border money transfers for Google users, Ria said.

  • First National Bank of Omaha said it has launched the Wawa Mastercard, a credit card issued for customers of the convenience store chain Wawa Inc. The card offers savings on gasoline and other purchases.
  • The ride-share provider Lyft said it will offer driver rewards with digital gift cards issued by Prezzee, a digital gifting platform.
  • RaceTrac Inc., a convenience-store chain, said it will accept payments from truckers through its Relay Payments platform at all of its RaceTrac and RaceWay truck-accessible locations. In total, the two brands account for more than 800 stores.
