Bottomline Acquires Nexus Systems And Other Digital Transactions News briefs from 9/14/22

  • Payments-technology provide Bottomline announced it has acquired Nexus Systems, a vendor of payments-automation software the real-estate and property-management sector. Terms were not disclosed.
  • Payments provider Stax launched Stax Bill, a service that provides automated billing software. It had been known as Fusebill, a company that Stax acquired in 2021.
  • Loyalty network Engage People said it partnered with FreedomPay to reach more retailer brick-and-mortar locations.
  • Cubic Corp. said the Salem Area Mass Transit District is equipping its 27 bus routes in the Salem-Keizer, Oregon, area with its Umo fare collection system.
  • Payment platform Dwolla said it added MX Technologies Inc., an open banking services provider, to its roster of Secure Exchange partners. In July, Dwolla launched Secure Exchange, a tokenized connectivity service.
  • Wyndham Hotels & Resorts introduced a mobile-tipping facility that allows guests to scan a QR code that is unique to each server or employee. The technology was developed by cashless-tipping provider Bene.
  • Fuel-savings platform GasBuddy introduced its Card Linked Offers program, which it says allows users to earn free gasoline on in-store purchases at pump-equipped merchants. The offers are linked to a credit card carried by the consumer following an opt-in with GasBuddy.
