Visitors to Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium, home field of the NFL’s Miami Dolphins and college football’s University of Miami Hurricanes, are now tapping and dipping their credit and debit cards at Clover Sport point-of-sale terminals.
Fiserv Inc., which owns Clover, says 1,020 Clover Station Duo POS terminals and integrated scanners are installed at the approximately 65,000-seat venue. Fifty handheld Clover Flex units also are used at the stadium, which opened in 1987.
One advantage of Clover for this type of location is that payment processing, hardware, and ticketing software integration is consolidated into one system, Fiserv says. This helps with a centralized management view, real-time data, and transaction reporting, and it helps with peak event rushes.

“Clover Sport provides a modern point-of-sale platform that helps our guests spend less time waiting in line and more time enjoying the action, while giving our concessions team the technology they need to operate at peak efficiency,” Sameer Istafa, vice president and chief technology officer at the Miami Dolphins and Hard Rock Stadium, says in a statement.
Hard Rock Stadium also hosts the Orange Bowl, the Miami Open tennis tournament, and the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix.
Fiserv says Hard Rock Stadium is now one of more than 60 entertainment venues that use Clover Sport. Recent Clover Sport deals have been made with the Minnesota Wild of the National Hockey League and the NFL’s Cleveland Browns.
