- Apple Inc. said Apple Cash users can now send Instant Transfer payments to Mastercard Inc. debit cards, reported 9to5mac.com. The service had been compatible only with Visa Inc. debit cards prior to Thursday’s announcement. Apple also said it is charging a 1.5% fee for Instant Transfer transactions, up from 1%. Instant Transfer uses Visa Direct and Mastercard Send real-time payments technology.
- Blackhawk Network Holdings Inc. said its Game On prepaid cards for sports betting are expanding to Colorado and Indiana, adding to New Jersey and Pennsylvania, where the cards launched last year.
- Petco Health and Wellness Co. Inc. said it will offer Klarna AB’s Pay in 4 installment-payment service in nearly 1,500 pet-care stores across the United States.
- Nacha, the automated clearing house rulemaker, updated its Nonprofit Toolkit to make it easier for charitable or religious organizations to accept donations by electronic bank transfer.
- The PCI Security Standards Council and the Cloud Security Alliance issued a joint bulletin to educate stakeholders on the importance of properly scoping cloud environments and good cloud security measures for payment security protection.
