Worldpay Extends POS Software Agreement and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 8/6/18

  • NRT Technology Corp. and Sightline Payments LLC, which are expected to merge and become NRT Sightline, announced its Connect+ payment gateway is being used by Hard Rock International for its recently launched online casino in New Jersey.
  • Payments processor Worldpay Inc. extended for four years an agreement with CRS Texas, a provider of point-of-sale software for hospitality markets.
  • Datacap Systems Inc. announced that TruRating, a service than enables consumers to leave merchant feedback via point-of-sale terminals, will be integrated into its POS platform in the third quarter.
  • American Express Co. announced an agreement with online lender GreenSky Inc. in which AmEx merchants in the home-improvement and elective health-care sectors will be able to offer GreenSky to finance large purchases with 60-second decisions through the lender’s mobile app, online, or over the phone.
  • IBM Corp. announced it will open four new X-Force Red Labs to test the security of ATMs and other devices. The labs will be in Atlanta and Austin, Texas, as well as England and Australia. X-Force Red refers to a team of hackers who work for IBM Security.
  • Payments-platform provider i2c Inc. hired Ted Dargan, a former American Express and Mastercard executive, as vice president and head of global strategic partnerships.
