Wirex Travel Debuts and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 3/27/25

  • The payments platform Wirex Ltd. has launched Wirex Travel, a travel-booking utility offering discounts and cashback to users paying with a Wirex card.
  • Nayax Ltd. has agreed to embed its payments technology within products from N-and Group, starting with the latter’s automated self-service commerce machines.
  • Payments provider Priority Technology Holdings Inc. has launched Ambient, a unit set up to handle payments for Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangement (ICHRA) plans. ICHRAs allow employers to reimburse employees tax-free for health-insurance premiums and certain medical expenses.
  • The crypto payments network Mesh launched a payments app on the Shopify App Store, aimed at allowing Shopify merchants to accept cryptocurrency while settling transactions in stablecoins.
  • Cryptocurrency-based payments provider BitPay launched its wallet app and Web site in the United Kingdom.
  • A soon-to-be released survey by Mastercard Inc. shows 46% of merchants across four continents have suffered a cyber attack on their current business, while 20% of these filed for bankruptcy or closed up shop. The survey canvassed 5,000 small and medium-size business owners.
  • SecurityMetrics has released Shopping Cart Monitor Version 2.0, aimed at acquirers, merchants, and other businesses to help guard against cyberattacks.
  • Republic Bank & Trust Co. has adopted the DNA platform from payments provider Fiserv Inc. to help in its conversion to digital technology.
  • Payments provider Usio Inc. reported a 1% drop in revenue in 2024, to $82.9 million, though net income swung from a loss of $475,104 in 2023 to a positive $3.3 million last year.
