- Retail-technology provider Toshiba has agreed to incorporate biometric identification technology from PopID into its point-of-sale and self-service devices running on Toshiba’s Elera Commerce Platform. PopID’s technology relies on facial-recognition software.
- Ingenico launched its Axium Retail Core capabilities for its Axium point-of-sale terminals that can ease integration efforts.
- Payments provider FreedomPay said it has integrated its services with the M60 Pay handheld device from interactive-technology vendor Elo. The move follows last week’s news that FreedomPay plans to integrate its service with Canada-based processor Moneris Solutions Corp.
- Lisnr Inc., which offers technology that enables mobile payments via sound waves, said an integration with Clear, a secure identity company, will enable more frictionless checkout experiences for age-gated purchases.
