Square for Drive-Thru Debuts and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 5/11/26

  • Block Inc.’s Square point-of-sale unit introduced Square for Drive-Thru, developed in partnership with The Howard Company and Nanonation, the system combines order capture, kitchen operations, and customer handoff, according to Square.
  • PayPal Holdings Inc. formed a new multiyear partnership with the National Football League’s Seattle Seahawks as a sponsor and exclusive digital ticket payment processing partner. PayPal said the Seahawks have integrated PayPal’s payment processing platform with Ticketmaster, a first for PayPal with the NFL.
  • 365 Retail Markets LLC’s $848 million acquisition of unattended payments specialist Cantaloupe Inc. closed Monday. 365 is a portfolio company of Providence Equity Partners LLC, a private-equity investment firm. The deal was announced in June.
  • Priority Technology Holdings Inc. reported first-quarter revenue of $249.6 million, an 11.1% increase from $224.6 million in the corresponding year-ago quarter. Its quarterly net income of $9.8 million was up 18.1% from $8.3 million a year prior.
  • Corpay Inc. said it will offer stablecoin wallet and settlement through a partnership with stablecoin-technology developer BVNK. Mastercard agreed in March to acquire BVNK for $1.8 billion.
  • Buy now, pay later provider Affirm Holdings Inc. released its inaugural Small Business Sentiment Survey that found 90% of respondents are confident in their business outlooks over the next 12 months. Seventy percent also said BNPL helps attract new customers and 66% said it helps them compete with larger competitors. The online survey, conducted from Feb. 27 through March 4, collected 511 responses.
