- Dec. 31 will be the last day on which mass transit users can buy or refill a MetroCard for use on New York City’s subway system, as the card is being replaced by OMNY, a system that allows riders to tap a card or mobile device to pay a fare. MetroCard was introduced in 1994.
- Bilt Technologies Inc., whose platform offers rewards on rent payments, announced a promotion featuring an album from singer and actor A$AP Rocky.
- Telcoin Digital Asset Bank launched its eUSD stablecoin on the Ethereum and Polygon blockchains, minting an initial $10 million. The bank in November received final charter approval from the Nebraska Department of Banking and Finance.
