Bluefin Pairs With Agile on a Ticketing Point-of-Sale Service

With nearly 60% of consumers willing to travel to experience live music, according to a Live Nation survey, ticketing could be a beneficial segment for acquirers to pursue. Bluefin Payment Systems and Agile Ticketing Solutions are continuing to court ticketing companies with the expansion of their deal to now support the PAX Technology Inc. A35 Android point-of-sale terminal.

That mobile device, which supports EMV, NFC, magstripe, and QR code transactions, is a mobile terminal that uses the Android operating system and features a large display. Agile also offers the PAX A77  payment device via Bluefin accounts.

Atlanta-based Bluefin, which has been working with Hermitage, Tenn.-based Agile since 2018, says Agile also will use Bluefin’s BluePOS application on all of its PAX devices. BluePOS debuted in March and signals Bluefin’s plan to develop new products in-house and at its own pace.

Agile serves a variety of ticketing companies, such as theaters, fairs, film and music festivals, horse races, and academic events.

In that same November Live Nation survey, 80% of respondents would rather spend their money on experiences than things.
