SMB Optimism Less Than 2019 and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 12/8/20

  • Wells Fargo Co. said overall levels of optimism among small businesses remain at just more than half where they were late last year, even though its Wells Fargo/Gallup Small Business Index rose 12 points for the second straight quarter in the latest period.
  • As local governments imposed measures to control fresh outbreaks of Covid-19 and colder weather prohibited outdoor dining, transaction volumes fell in November for restaurant point-of-sale provider TableSafe Inc., despite more installations, the company said.   • Spreedly Inc. said its payments-orchestration platform will enable clients to implement the 3D Secure 2.0 authentication routine across multiple payment gateways at once.
  • PCI Pal, a provider of payments software for contact centers, predicted Covid fears will linger through 2021, making it necessary to beef up encryption and other security measures for at-home workers.
  • Rezku, a provider of online-ordering platforms for restaurants, has adopted Epson America Inc.’s TM-m3011 point-of-sale receipt printer, Epson announced.
