- Fraud-detection service Sift said its Sift Global Network saw transaction volume increase 18% in 2025, though payment fraud attempt rates held at about 3.25%, despite new fraud opportunities arising from new payment methods emerging in the market. The company credits better transaction monitoring and controls.
- The digital financial-services provider SoFi Technologies Inc. has launched SoFi Business Banking, aimed at allowing corporate customers to manage fiat and cryptocurrency activity, including real-time payments, within one nationally chartered bank.
- Insurance-industry payments specialist One Inc said it has partnered with ManageMy, a provider of front-end technology for the same industry, to enable carriers to offer digital-payments capabilities.
- Fiserv Inc.’s Small Business Index rose one point in March from February, to 144, as overall sales increased 1.3%, and retail sales rose 0.7%, year-over-year.
- Payments platform PayNearMe Inc. announced three new features for its PayXM service—Payer Re-Engagement, Dynamic Payment Options, and Invite a Payer.
- Arbiter, a payments platform for fundraising efforts at some 20,000 schools, said it has acquired Vertical Raise, a fundraising-technology platform. Terms were not announced.
- Trade associations ePayResources and the ATM Industry Association have finalized their merger. Each will continue to serve their members under their respective brands, with resources and events continuing without interruption. ATMIA will operate as a division of ePayResources. Jeff Foote remains president and chief executive of ePayResources and Lonnie C. Talbert serving as chief industry executive for ePayResources and president of ATMIA.
- Airwallex, an Australia-based payments platform operating globally, appointed Elana Rubin independent chair, and Sir Bill English an independent non-executive director, of its Australian board. Rubin is a member of the Reserve Bank of Australia Governance Board. English is a former prime minister of New Zealand.
- Block Inc.’s Square point-of-sale technology unit announced it is launching Square Restaurant Inventory by MarketMan, featuring ingredient and recipe management handled within Square.
