- The cryptocurrency exchange Bybit announced its Mastercard-branded Bybit Card has reached 3 million users a little more than three years after its introduction. The card enables users to spend both fiat and digital currencies.
- The Cost of Bills Index from bill-payment platform doxo indicates a wide gulf between the most and least expensive states, with persons in California, Hawaii, and Massachusetts paying as much as 38% above the national median and those in West Virginia, Mississippi, and Arkansas paying as much as 47% under.
- Banking and payments startup Slash Financial reached a $1.4-billion valuation following a $100-million Series C funding round led by Ribbit Capital. The 5-year-old company’s total capital raised now totals $160 million.
- Repay Holdings Corp. appointed Matt Morrow executive leader of its consumer payments unit, effective May 12. Morrow joins the company from Xplor Technologies, and before his time there he worked for Total System Services.
