Sezzle Capital Debuts and other Digital Transactions New briefs from 7/20/21

  • Buy now, pay later provider Sezzle Inc. launched Sezzle Capital, a program that provides working capital up to $10 million to qualified merchants. The service is built on the Wayflyer funding platform.
  • Square Inc. launched Square Banking, based on the company’s industrial bank, Square Financial Services, which began operating in March. The banking offering consists of three core services, Square Savings, Square Checking, and Square Loans.
  • Chargebacks911 said it is working with Vindicia, a subscription management platform, to provide chargeback management services to merchants.
  • Credorax Bank Ltd., a payments provider and acquirer for cross-border transfers, has launched a chargeback-prevention service in collaboration with Ethoca, a unit of Mastercard Inc., and Verifi, a Visa Inc. company.
  • Gateway NMI said J.P. Morgan, the European acquiring arm of JPMorgan Chase & Co., will offer NMI’s payment services to its European customers.
  • With the fast-growing importance of payments that rely on application programming interfaces, payments-technology provider Opus Consulting Solutions said it is working with Noname Security to guard against cyberattacks on payments APIs.
  • MedEvolve Inc., a technology provider for medical offices, opened its Patient Financial Engagement Services offering, which among other services offers digital-payment support.
  • Parking-app provider ParkHub Inc. announced it has acquired CurbTrac LLC, a platform that enables management of multiple parking apps. Terms were not announced.
  • In related news, parking-app provider ParkMobile LLC has appointed Chris Huff chief technology officer. Huff comes to the company from Acoustic L.P. (formerly IBM Watson Marketing).
  • Actsoft Inc., a provider of applications for workers in the field, launched its Mobile Payments feature, supported by Stripe Inc.
