- Bilt, a platform that lets consumers earn rewards on housing payments, announced a partnership with Preferred Hotels & Resorts and its I Prefer Hotel Rewards loyalty program. The collaboration allows Bilt members to transfer Bilt points to I Prefer Hotel Rewards. The program covers more than 700 independently owned hotels, resorts, and residences in 85 countries.
- Mercuryo, a developer of payments technology, said it has added Apple Pay to hardware wallets from Tangem to allow users to buy cryptocurrency with a single tap on their iPhone and using a stored credit or debit card.
- MoonPay, a payments provider dealing in both fiat and digital currency, announced it has acquired Entendre, a developer of AI agents for reconciliation and treasury functions linked to payments. Terms were not announced.
- EMVCo, the standards body for EMV chip cards, said it is seeking feedback on a draft of its EMV Digital Payment Credential Specification—Schema Framework specification, which will affect verifiable digital credentials, also known as digital representations of physical credentials, such as driver’s licenses or proof of age documents.
- U.S. Bank named Eric Levine as head of healthcare for Payments: Merchant and Institutional Sales Distribution. Levine comes to the role from a position at Bank of America Corp.
