- Processor Nuvei Corp. launched a financing option to allow client merchants to make invoice payments through their enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms.
- Health and beauty retailers lead all sellers in adoption of gift cards, followed by general merchandise retailers and sporting-goods stores, according to scores developed by Blackhawk Network and NAPCO Research in their “2024 Merchant Gift Card Omnicommerce Evaluation – US Edition” report, which evaluated 100 U.S retail gift card programs between September and December last year.
- Payroll processor Borderless AI appointed Leonard Shen to its board of advisors to help handle risk management and cross-border funds flows. Shen’s experience includes roles at American Express, PayPal, and Visa.
- A unit of processor RevoluGroup Canada Inc. agreed to support cross-border remittances for Ozank GmbH, a Germany-based payments provider.
- Payments provider Finzly announced it is among the first third-party service providers to be certified for compliance with ISO 20022 messaging standards for the Federal Reserve’s FedNow real-time payments network. The standard enables transmission of financial data alongside payments.
- Olo Inc., a provider of payments technology to restaurants, launched Smart Cross-Sells, which automates suggestions to customers for additional purchases while ordering or checking out.
- Financial-software provider HighRadius launched a business-to-business payments platform that it says handles more than 100 payment methods and helps cut merchants’ interchange costs by inserting necessary data whose omission would trigger higher rates.
