Nacha Unit Releases Cyberattack Exercise And Other Digital Transactions News briefs from 10/13/23

  • The Payments Innovation Alliance released what it calls a tabletop exercise designed to help small and mid-size businesses prepare defenses against a cyberattack. The PIA is part of Nacha, the network operator for the automated clearing house network.
  • Transact Campus Inc., a payments platform specializing in college campuses, announced a technical integration of the Samsung Galaxy watch for mobile student IDs.
  • U.S.-based Transaction Network Services announced it is providing a payment gateway that went live in August to support some 4,000 ticketing machines serving transport networks in the United Kingdom and Ireland. The contractor is Scheidt & Bachman Fare Collection Systems. The transit systems collectively process more than 90 million transactions annually.
  • Merchant services provider Merchant Industry LLC named Shawn Lally chief revenue officer. Lally’s experience includes tenures at GetBeyond, PrimeRevenue, TransFirst, and First Data, now Fiserv Inc.
