NAB Debuts Developer Hub and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 11/17/21

  • Payments provider North American Bancard LLC launched its Payments Hub Developer Portal, aimed at allowing developers to view specifications for application programming interfaces, see product information, and link directly to NAB sales and engineering personnel.
  • Buy now, pay later specialist Splitit Payments Ltd. said it will offer its service on purchases by users of the Wix.com Ltd. e-commerce platform. Wix says it has 210 million registered users globally.
  • PCI Pal said its Agent Assist service has been adopted by tire maker Michelin to handle payments at contact centers.
  • Buy Now, pay later pioneer Klarna AB announced it is launching its service in Portugal.
  • Some 68% of 1,011 responding consumers indicate they plan to shop at small merchants during the holiday period, according to a survey by GoCardless Ltd., an account-to-account payments provider.
  • Mercury Financial LLC said its Mercury Mastercard is now available for digital wallets. The card is aimed at under-represented communities and those rebuilding credit.
  • Payments platform RoadSync said its Checkout payments technology is now available to repair and tow customers using PTP Shop Repair Centers.
  • Australia’s Perth Heat said it is the first professional baseball club to accept Bitcoin payments and to pay players and staff with Bitcoin. The service relies on the processor OpenNode and the Lightning network.
  • Payment processor Billtrust Inc. appointed Kelli Negro chief marketing officer. She was most recently CMO for Vendavo.
