Miracle Pay’s POS Crypto Plan and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 8/26/26

  • Miracle Pay, a provider of payments technology for merchants, said it will work with zerohash, a provider of cryptocurrency technology, to enable stablecoin acceptance at both physical and online merchants. At the point of sale, consumers will use crypto wallets on their phones to fund transactions.
  • A survey of 1,000 consumers found that 69% do not trust AI to process payments securely, found a report from NMI. Additionally, 70% said it is important they review or override an AI decision prior to a purchase.
  • Onboarding and underwriting platform Worth launched Decision Intelligence, a service that helps financial institutions verify various account applications, such as merchant accounts and credit cards.
  • Fundraising platform GoFundMe Pro issued updates to ease problems with recurring payments. These include smart retries, to try to automatically recover certain failed recurring payments; targeted donor lists; and personalized upgrade links for donors.
  • Toast Inc. released its 2026 Voice of the Restaurant Industry Survey that found profitability is the top goal, cited by 37%, and that 87% of respondents are comfortable using AI. Toast surveyed 676 restaurant operators with 16 or fewer locations, including both Toast and competitor customers.
  • Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta has agreed to use the ACI Connetic platform from ACI Worldwide Inc. to process member-funding activity on the Fedwire Funds Service. The bank says it originated $234.8 billion in such advances in the first half of the year.
  • Accounts-payable technology provider Basware has agreed to acquire Trustpair, a provider of payments-fraud detection technology. Terms were not disclosed.
  • Nacha announced Finastra as a Nacha Preferred Partner for ACH Experience, ISO 20022, and Risk and Fraud Prevention. Nacha is the rules-setting body for the automated clearing house network.
  • Card-issuing platform Marqeta Inc. appointed Eugenia Gibbons chief product officer, effective Aug. 31. Gibbons, who comes to the company from Intuit, has in her career held posts with BBVA, Bank of America, Accenture, and other companies.
