  • Point-of-sale system maker Lightspeed Commerce Inc. said it will reorganize as it contends with a shifting economy. Among its actions are the elimination of 300 jobs, accounting for approximately 10% of its overall employees.
  • The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is considering regulations governing the fees providers charge for cross-border money wires, according to The Wall Street Journal.
  • Point-of-sale device maker Ingenico and technology company Fujitsu Frontech North America have introduced a payment-authentication tool based on palm-vein identification. Fujitsu is working through its Fulcrum Biometrics Inc. unit.

  • The global payments-acceptance fintech Airwallex announced a partnership with American Express Co. to allow Airwallex merchants to accept AmEx cards in Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, and the United Kingdom.
  • Mastercard Inc. has agreed to offer digital technology for transit ticketing and payment through a partnership with Ubirider, a Portugal-based provider of mobility technology.
  • Cryptocurrency platform Circle Internet Financial said it is celebrating its 10th anniversary in business with a report on the state of stablecoins, “State of the USDC Economy.”
