Jack in the Box Ready with Qu and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 1/7/26

  • The Jack in the Box Inc. restaurant chain has completed the installation of the Qu POS Inc. commerce platform in its 2,100-plus locations in 15 months, Qu said. Qu announced the Jack in the Box win in 2024.
  • PayPal Holdings Inc. launched its Transaction Graph Insights & Measurement program, aimed at providing merchants with data on shopper behavior and campaign effectiveness.
  • Payments-orchestration platform Gr4vy Inc. said it is integrating services from buy now, pay later provider Affirm Inc. for both online and mobile checkout.
  • Nuvei Corp. said it will work with FreedomPay Inc. to offer large merchants a single platform for both in-store and online transactions globally.
  • SmartMoving Software LLC, a provider of technology for moving companies, said it has acquired Remedy Payments, a payments provider for the same industry. Terms were not disclosed.
  • RaceTrac Inc., operator of more than 800 RaceTrac and RaceWay fueling stations and convenience stores, has agreed to integrate payment technology from Onramp Payments Inc. to serve truck fleets.
  • Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union will launch real-time payments on the RTP network from The Clearing House Payments Co. LLC as well as on the Federal Reserve’s FedNow system, in both cases using the Orbipay Payments Hub technology from Alacriti Inc.
  • Pavilion Payments, a specialist in processing for the gaming industry, named Diallo Gordon chief executive, replacing Dan Connors, who takes on the role of executive chairman. Gordon joined the company in January last year as president.
  • Card-issuing platform Marqeta Inc. said it has appointed Patti Kangwankij chief financial officer, effective Feb. 9, succeeding Mike Milotich, who has assumed the role of chief executive. Kangwankij joins the company from Roofstock, where she held the same position.
