EVO Revenue up 30% and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 8/4/21

  • Payments provider EVO Payments Inc. reported a 30% increase in revenue year-over-year to $122.2 million for the second quarter. For the first half of the year, revenue totaled $228.4 million, up 11%. The company processed 1.03 billion transactions for the quarter, up 35%.
  • Feedzai Inc., an anti-fraud technology provider serving the payments industry, announced it has acquired Revelock, a behavioral biometric platform. Terms were not announced.
  • Canada’s Interac Corp., along with 13 Canadian banks, launched Interac e-Transfer for Business, a real-time payments service built on the Interac e-Transfer service and aimed at business transfers to personal and commercial accounts.
  • Volante Technologies Inc., a cloud-based payments-technology provider serving financial institutions, launched The Volante Experience, which adds a software-as-a-service customer onboarding feature to Volante’s payments platform.
  • As salons and spas reopen in Canada, Square Inc. said it has introduced features in that country through its Square Appointments point-of-sale software, including Square Online.
  • Payments provider Usio Inc. said it is working with cryptocurrency platform Voyager Digital to enable merchants to accept a range of cryptocurrencies.
  • Cryptocurrency-payments gateway NOWPayments launched a mass-payouts service, allowing users to send payments in more than 100 digital currencies to customers, employees, or other groups.
  • Payment card manufacturer CPI Card Group Inc. said its common stock will begin trading on the Nasdaq on Thursday under the symbol PMTS.
