- Payment card issuer CPI Card Group Inc. said it has acquired instant-issuance technology from HID Global Corp. The all-cash deal closed June 23, CPI said, though price and other terms were not announced.
- Affirm Holdings Inc. said retailer Backcountry will add Affirm as a payment method on Backcountry.com and its other sites.
- Mastercard Inc., along with the processor Worldline and the financial-services provider Crédit Agricole, announced they have processed the first commercial agentic-commerce transaction to occur in France.
- Visa Inc. has signed on to a two-year sponsorship of the Evolution Championship Series, or Evo for short, a tournament for computer gamers. The partnership starts with Evo Las Vegas on Friday.
- Payments-technology provider Parafin said it has launched the Spend Card, a credit card for use by small businesses. Its partners are the processor 360 Payments and Nav, a financial-services provider.
- Payments provider Airwallex said it raised $320 million in a Series H funding round, valuing the company at $11 billion, a $3-billion increase since December.
- Float Financial, a Toronto-based company offering corporate cards and payments services, received $85 million Canadian ($60 million U.S.) in an all-equity Series C round led by Inovia Capital.
