Corpay’s Working Capital Move and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 7/25/25

  • Corporate card issuer Corpay announced it is selling off a fuel-card portfolio in a deal it says will bring in $60 million and free up $35 million in working capital, funds the company says will aid its $2.2 billion acquisition of Alpha Group International plc., a United Kingdom-based banking company.
  • Pumpkin Insurance Services Inc., which offers Pumpkin Now, a faster-payments service for payouts on pet-insurance claims, says that since Pumpkin Now’s launch in April the platform has served 3,200 pets with $4.6 million in payouts at an average claim-completion time of 8.5 minutes.
  • Meriwest Credit Union said it now offers Zelle peer-to-peer payments as part of its banking services.
  • At least five consumer-oriented providers are accepting stablecoins directly for purchases of goods and services, with payments processed on-chain, according to a tally by Motley Fool. They are: AMC Theatres, Gucci, Newegg Commerce, Regal Cinemas, and Shopify.
