Clip’s Tap to Pay and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 2/19/26

  • Mexico-based payments-technology provider Clip launched a tap-to-pay capability for Android devices. The move follows Clip’s launch earlier this month of a new point-of-sale device, the Clip Total 3.
  • Justt, a provider of chargeback management based on AI, said it will work with franchise-business advisor Ron Feldman to help franchise systems reduce chargebacks and disputes and identify preventable refunds.
  • Weave Communications Inc., a payments-software developer, said it will integrate the CareCredit financing service from financial-services platform Synchrony.
  • Wirex Ltd. launched Stablecoin Push-to-Card, a service enabling payouts funded by stablecoins to eligible cards held by persons around the world. Transfers rely on Visa Inc.’s Visa Direct instant-payments network.
  • LegalShield, whose service offers access to legal advice, said its Consumer Stress Legal Index rose 4.4% in the fourth quarter, a third consecutive quarterly rise, reaching a level not seen since early in the pandemic. The rise is fueled by consumer debt and spending levels, according to the report.
  • Paysafe Ltd. said it has expanded its U.S. Agent Recruitment Program to sign sales agents focused on marketing card acceptance and other payment methods at checkout.
  • Payments-software developer Modern Treasury Corp has launched Payments, a payment-service provider aimed at supporting startups in integrating both fiat and stablecoin payments services.
  • Payments platform Airwallex announced it has been designated the official jersey-patch partner for the San Francisco Giants.
