- Payments-technology firm Buy It Mobility launched BuyPass, a platform aimed at allowing merchants to more quickly launch automated clearing house and merchant-branded payments programs. BIM is working with network capabilities and virtual card technology from Discover Network to reduce the time and cost for merchant integration.
- Transaction-security firm Forter launched Smart Payments, a technology that uses the 3D Secure security protocol when additional validation is required. The technology simplifies compliance with regulations, including Payment Services Directive Two (PSD2), Forter says.
- Payments platform Payment Logistics LLC said exterior-remodeling firm Window World Inc. has integrated mobile-commerce technology from Payment Logistics in its customer-relationship management system.
- Digital-currency payments provider Circle Internet Financial LLC announced what it says is the first in a series of partnerships to promote financial literacy. This one is with Bowie State University, a historically Black college and university in Maryland, and Rhodes University in South Africa.
- A study from digital-currency platform Bakkt Holdings Inc. shows 72% of consumers who bought crypto at least once in the past six months are likely to redeem points from loyalty programs to buy crypto, and half would like to earn crypto in these programs instead of points. The survey canvassed 1,000 U.S. consumers.
- Payments-as-a-service provider Finexio said it is supporting Jaggaer Pay, a business-to-business payments platform from commerce company Jaggaer.
- Galileo Financial Technologies announced its technology is behind the new Spruce mobile-banking service from H&R Block. The app, which launched last month, includes a spending account with a debit card.
- Payments company Payrailz announced its services are now available through the Alkami platform. Alkami is a cloud-based digital banking provider for financial insitutitions.
- The Western Union Co. said it has launched money-transfer services in South Korea through the Travel Wallet App in that country.
- Payroc Holdings LP appointed Henry Helgeson to its board of managers. Helgeson was founder and chief executive of Cayan, a payments provider that TSYS acquired in 2018. Global Payments Inc. later acquired TSYS in 2019.
