  • Appetize Technologies Inc., a provider of point-of-sale technology for the hospitality and entertainment industries, launched Appetize Payments, which combines payment processing with the company’s cloud-based software.
  • Ally Lending, the personal-lending unit of Ally Bank, a subsidiary of Ally Financial Inc., said buy now, pay later provider Sezzle Inc. will offer Ally’s longer-term installment loans alongside Sezzle’s no-interest short-term financing.
  • Payments provider VizyPay introduced Learning For Geniuses, an internal learning program for independent sales agents.
  • Some 69% of the 2.5 billion chip-based payment cards shipped worldwide last year were equipped for contactless payments, up from 59% of shipments in 2019, according to the Smart Payments Association.

  • Legacy Records said it is the first known record label to pay its artists in cryptocurrency.
  • Payout Networks Inc. named Sandra Blair its chief product officer, a new position. Blair previously held positions at FIS Inc., Vanco Payment Systems, and Vital Processing.
