- American Express Co. launched American Express Global Pay, a digital payment service to enable U.S. businesses to make domestic and international business-to-business payments. Eligible U.S. AmEx Small Business cardholders can fund payments from their business bank accounts to suppliers in more than 40 countries with a dozen currencies.
- RevoluGroup Canada Inc., a payments-technology provider, launched RevoluTransfer, which it says processes instant transfers globally of up to 3 million euros or the equivalent currency in Canadian dollars, U.S. dollars, and British pound sterling.
- Payment technology provider CDE Services Inc. said it will deploy TruAge, a proof-of-age service developed by the National Association of Convenience Stores and Connexxus.
- Chargebacks911 released its automated translation module to help merchants that use more than one language manage their dispute processes.
- Discover Financial Services opened a customer care center in Chicago that it expects to employ 1,000 individuals by 2024. The center also houses a technology hub.
- Xsolla, a provider of commerce capability for video games, launched Pay Station, a technology update that supports a customizable user interface, smoother mobile payments, and support for mobile wallets globally.
- Datacap Systems Inc. established a scholarship with a $50,000 donation to help families of retail technology reseller organizations. The program will be managed by the Retail Solutions Providers Association.
- The Clearing House Payments Co. LLC announced Rusiru Gunasena as its senior vice president of RTP product management and strategy, succeeding Steve Ledford, who is retiring Aug. 5. Gunasena most recently was managing director of JHA PayCenter at Jack Henry & Associates Inc. Ledford joined TCH in 2013.
- Repay Holdings Corp. named Michael Cottrell senior vice president of clearing and settlement. Cottrell most recently was president of Metrics Global and prior to that vice president of product at Global Payments Inc.
- Paysafe Ltd. appointed Rob Gatto chief revenue officer, a newly created position at the payments provider. He will report directly to chief executive Bruce Lowthers, who joined the company in May from FIS Inc.
