- Fiserv Inc. said its Small Business Index for May remained flat at 144 as small-business transactions dropped 2.4% year-over-year while average tickets rose 3.1%. The drop in transactions marked the seventh consecutive month of declining foot traffic.
- Fireblocks, a payments platform based on digital assets, launched Fireblocks Flow, stablecoin-acceptance technology aimed at payment-service providers and fintechs.
- Elo, a payments-technology provider, launched its Pay 15 Tap to Pay, an Android tablet with touchscreen and integrated NFC capability for retail, restaurants, and self-service applications.
- Money-transfer service Thunes announced it is supporting real-time capability for remittances sent to the United States. In connection with the move, it said it has made a direct connection to a U.S. financial institution to support dollar payouts via same-day ACH and real-time payments services.
- Mastercard Inc. announced a number of personnel changes, including a move by chief financial officer Sachin Mehra to the role of chief business officer. He will be succeeded by Ling Hai, currently president of Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East, and Africa.
