Global Renews Banamex Deal  and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 7/17/25

  • Global Payments Inc. announced a renewal and expansion of an agreement with Banco Nacional de Mexico S.A. to offer acquiring and banking services in Mexico.
  • CareVet LLC, operator of more than 200 veterinary practices across the country, announced it has agreed to integrate payments processing from Scratch Financial Inc., a fintech specializing in vet clinics.
  • Coast Financial Technologies Inc. announced it is expanding beyond its fleet fuel card program to offer a corporate card and expense-management service for trades and commercial and residential services firms.
  • Canada’s LuckyStart Casino announced it has introduced payment services from Interac, a national payments platform supported by the country’s major financial institutions. Services will include funding of account balances and cash-outs.
  • Velocity Clinical Research said it will work with artificial-intelligence platform Palantir Technologies to automate payments reconciliation in clinical trials, said to be “one of the [healthcare] industry’s most persistent administrative challenges.”
  • Antom, Ant International’s merchant-payments unit, announced its Antom Copilot AI agent, with greater capability for merchant onboarding, risk, and chargeback processing.
  • The Independent Bankers of America said its ICBA Payments unit has renewed an agreement with Visa Inc. to help community banks adopt current payment technology.
  • Rain, an issuer of cards based on stablecoins, announced it has achieved compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard, familiarly known as PCI-DSS.
  • The banking fintech Dakota said it has raised $12.5 million in a Series A funding round led by CoinFund. The company’s technology allows firms to hold and transfer fiat money and stablecoins.
  • Payments-technology provider Finzly Inc. appointed Adam Carson as its first chief financial officer and Robert Coakley as its head of partnerships. Carson formerly was CFO at Cyence. Coakley formerly worked at Finastra, Fundtech, and CGI.
